Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, once again dealing with a serious health condition called diverticulitis, recently had to withdraw from a number one contender’s bout with fellow TUF 13 coach Junior dos Santos at UFC 131. But beyond that fight, the question has been whether or not Lesnar can overcome his illness and even be able to set foot in the Octagon again.
UFC president Dana White, talking to a flock of reporters following the UFC 130 prefight press conference, updated Lesnar’s situation.
“I talked to him a couple of days ago and his head is in a good place. He has an appointment (Thursday) at the Mayo Clnic and he’s gonna make some decisions on what he’s gonna do,” said White.
The UFC boss is hopeful that Lesnar can fight through his problems and make a return to the Octagon…

Really, Have you ever had or seen someone with diverticulitis. It can literally waste them away to nothing. So all the advantages that he had, size and strength will be nullified. Mir said it best, w/o those advantages he is just another fighter w/o the experience.

It is really sad when someone comes down with a real disease that could affect their entire life, and idiots claim that they are sitting out because they don’t want to get knocked out.
Education is key, and people’s stupid opinions are just that…stupid!

Yeah, I don’t necessary like Brock, although he is winning me over with his honesty on TUF, you know he’s a competitor and wouldn’t sit out even one fight if he felt ready to.
