UFC light heavyweights Brandon “The Truth” Vera and Jon “Bones”
Jones are both trying to make their way to a title shot, but will have to
battle it out with each other first on Sunday night at UFC on Versus 1 at the
1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colo.
The two weighed in Saturday afternoon at the venue, and both Jones and Vera
made weight with no issues.
"I’m giving it everything I got," said Jones after weighing in at
206lbs. "Everything. I’m just so excited."
Looking to make an impact on the 205lb weight division, Vera hopes to steal
some of the momentum that Jones has built up as the "future" of the
light heavyweight class. Vera was in a similar position that his opponent
currently is now with the hype surrounding him, and he believes it will play to

All of the other fighters on the card also made weight, including former
heavyweight James Irvin who made the cut to the middleweight division for the
first time on Saturday.
