Round 1: Stout and Fisher come out blasting, Fisher trying to take the fight straight to Stout with a flurry of punches. Stout is looking to counter, but Fisher land a couple straight left hands that snap his head back. Stout, however, returns fire, blasting away with straight rights. It’s like they’re taking turns with the ebb and flow of the fight. Fisher is getting the upper hand, landing a few stinging punches, then Stout answers back with several of his own. But then Stout, out of nowhere, shoots a takedown and puts Fisher on his back, landing in Fisher’s full guard. Stout starts grounding and pounding, dropping some sharp elbows. Stout stands in Fisher’s guard, momentarily dropping down a couple punches, but then allows Fisher back up, only to take him down again. They scramble back to their feet, Stout scoring with a punch and kick on the break. MMAWeekly.com scores round one 10-9 for Stout.
Round 2: They pick right up, firing away, Fisher edging ahead early in the round, landing some solid punches, and countering well. Stout goes for another takedown, but Fisher fends it off this time. Fisher now has taken the center of the Octagon and is forcing Stout into more of a position where he wants him. Midway through, however, Stout turns the tables a little bit and lands some good shots to the body. Stout causing Fisher to miss a little more now, avoiding more of Fisher’s punches, and countering well. Following a break for a low-blow, Stout again shoots and scores the double-leg takedown, landing in Fisher’s full guard, going to work with body punches and dropping elbows to the head. Round 3: Fisher opens with a spinning elbow and left hand. He then presses Stout to the fence, who again tries a takedown, but can’t land it. Stout fires a kick to the body, but Fisher catches it and continues stalking Stout, landing a solid straight left, but Stout answers back. Fisher catches Stout on the jaw with left hook, but Stout shakes it off. Fisher keeps coming, landing several more punches. Stout answers to the body with a punch combination and follows with a kick to the body. Midway through the round now and Fisher lands a straight left, causing Stout to go back to the takedown and he lands it. He’s got Fisher up by the fence, but Fisher gets back to his feet and lands a knee. Fisher lands another boxing combination, but Stout returns the favor again with a takedown, planting Fisher on his back, going to work from half guard. The referee stands them up rather quickly while Stout had his weight on top of Fisher and was punching to the head. Back up, they trade bombs to the bell.
