Round 1: Waldburger in the opening moments of the fight lands a counter left hand that drops Ebersole onto his butt. Waldburger follows him down, going to work from half guard and immediately transitioning to full mount. Ebersole escapes the mount, but Waldburger locks on a D’Arce choke, Ebersole’s head turning all shades of purple before finally escaping and returning to his feet. Ebersole land a right hand to the body, but looks like he’s still regaining his senses. Waldburger moves in, but gets caught in Ebersole’s Thai clinch. Ebersole lands a sharp Thai elbow before Waldburger escapes and lands a kick to the body, but Ebersole fires back with a knee to the head of Waldburger that wobbles him momentarily. Waldburger recovers and fires back, landing more shots of his own. Ebersole presses Waldburger up against the fence, but they stall out until the horn. Round 2: Waldburger opens up with a left hand and follows with a right high kick before shooting and scoring a takedown. Waldburger scrambles, trying to get to Ebersole’s back, but Ebersole reverses and puts Waldburger on his back. Waldburger, however, applies an omo plata but can’t get the proper angle to finish off the shoulder lock. Ebersole gets back to Waldburger’s full guard, but Waldburger deftly transition to an armbar attack. Ebersole does a good job escaping, so Waldburger transitions to a kneebar attempt. He doesn’t get it, so he tries for a triangle, but again can’t lock it on. Ebersole doing a good job dropping down with shoulder punches, but Waldburger sneaks in and locks on a triangle. Ebersole escapes the trianlge and scrambles to Waldburger’s back. Waldburger reverses to put his full guard back on, but Ebersole drops a couple hard shots down before the horn. Round 3: Waldburger catches Ebersole coming in with a straight right hand and follows with a left hook to rock Ebersole a little bit. Ebersole grabs the Thai clinch and lands an elbow as they separate. Ebersole tries a cart-wheel sort of kick, but it goes nowhere, so Ebersole charges Waldburger, pressing him into the fence, taking him down with a single-leg. Ebersole goes back to shoulder punches from Waldburger’s guard, but Waldburger again shoots his legs up, trying for a triangle. Waldburger lands a couple elbows across his face with the traingle still applied, but Ebersole escapes out of the hold. They scramble, Ebersole landing back in Waldburger’s full guard and dropping a couple ground and pound punches. Waldburger tries to go for a sweep, but Ebersole drops some heavy elbows.
