They stand, but Noke still has Craig’s back, suplexing him to the mat. Noke is again on Craig’s back, can’t sink the choke, and slips around into Craig’s full guard. Craig tries to gain a triangle, but Noke maintains good posture and starts dropping elbows to Craig’s face. Craig escapes to his feet, Noke pressing him against the cage. Craig escapes the clinch, driving a knee to Noke’s body. Noke lands a couple one-off punches and a good body kick. Round 2: Noke lands several leg kicks to open the round, and starts working his jab, but Craig is calm and starts firing back, putting Noke on his back foot a bit. Noke shoots a single leg, but eats numerous punches and elbows for his efforts before Craig pushes him to the mat, landing in top position. Craig tries to pass, but Noke maintains his guard, so Craig shifts gears and starts grounding and pounding from inside Noke’s full guard. Noke goes for a triangle choke, but Craig defends well and continues to ground and pound. Craig allows Noke to get up. Noke starts unloading, but eats a punch from Craig and hits the mat. Round 3: Noke lands a couple good front kicks to the body, but Craig catches one of them and puts Noke on his backside. He gets up and they start trading one and two-punch exchanges. Noke shoots the single, but again eats some punches and elbows for his efforts. Noke quickly shoots again, this time, after a concerted effort, scores the takedown, but Craig immediately works back to his feet. Half a round left in the fight and it’s there for the taking for either fighter. Craig counters Noke’s kick attempts, then shoots a solid double-leg takedown, planting Noke on his back. He immediately starts grounding and pounding from inside the full guard. Noke is searching for a submission, but Craig keeps punching. Noke turns and Craig takes his back, continuing to punch until the final horn, likely stealing the fight from Noke’s grasp. MMAWeekly.com scores round three 10-9 and the fight 29-28 for Craig.
