Little more than a week out from fight time, UFC on FX 1 has added one last fight to flesh out its roster.
UFC officials on Tuesday announced the addition of Octagon newbies Daniel Pineda and Pat Schilling in a featherweight showdown.
Pineda (15-7) is a tough fighter, making his way to the UFC by working his way up primarily through smaller regional promotions in Texas. Of his 15 victories, Pineda has finished every single one of them.
He enters the Octagon on a five-fight winning streak.
Schilling (5-0) doesn’t have the experience that Pineda does, but he has the same penchant for finishing fights with four submission wins and one TKO victory.
When the two come together in the Octagon, it should make for an exciting fight, especially when you add the opportunity to make it in the big leagues to the mix.
