UFC on Fuel TV 10 officially drew an audience of 6,286. UFC officials announced the figure during the post-fight press conference.
UFC on Fuel TV 10 took place at Ginasio Paulo Sarasate in Fortaleza, Brazil, on Saturday. It was the promotion’s first event in the city.
The event crowned the second The Ultimate Fighter Brazil champion and featured a heavyweight match-up of coaches Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Fabricio Werdum.
Leonardo Santos captured The Ultimate Fighter title in the co-main event by submitting William “Patolino” Macario by arm triangle choke in the second round.
In the main event, Fabricio Werdum made a case for his consideration for a title shot by submitting MMA legend Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira by armbar in the first round. With the victory, he also avenged a previous loss to Nogueira that took place under the Pride FC banner in 2006.
The event set the UFC record for submissions on a fight card with eight. The previous record was six.
