UFC on Fuel 3 Results: Tom Lawlor Scores Knockout Win Over Jason MacDonald

Tom Lawlor will have a lot to celebrate after scoring a first-round knockout over Jason “The Athlete” MacDonald at UFC on Fuel TV 3 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va., on Tuesday night.  It didn’t take long for the new 29-year-old to dispatch MacDonald, likely dashing the Canadian’s hopes of fighting on the upcoming UFC 149 fight card in July in Calgary.

MacDonald went for a head kick early, but to no avail.  He then attempted a takedown, but it was easily stuffed by Lawlor.

Lawlor then rocked MacDonald with a left hand and put the Canadian down face first with a powerful right hand. MacDonald could not get up. The official time of the knockout was 50 seconds into round one.

With the impressive knockout over MacDonald, Lawlor moves his record to 8-4 and improves his UFC record to 4-3.
