When the UFC signed its seven-year agreement with the Fox family of networks, company president Dana White said there would be at least four events per year on “big” Fox. So far this year two events have taken place and a third is scheduled for Aug. 4 in Los Angeles.
Fox on Monday, however, let it slip that the fourth event (UFC on Fox 5) is slated for Dec. 8 for its broadcast network.
As part of a press release announcing a new preview series, Fox stated, “The second special, which focuses on the fighters battling in the Saturday, Dec. 8 prime time UFC on FOX event, airs Sunday, Dec. 2 opposite local NFL on FOX single-header coverage.”
Although we now have a date for UFC on Fox 5, no bouts or location have yet been revealed.
UFC on Fox 4 is slated for Aug. 4 in Los Angeles, featuring Mauricio “Shogun” Rua vs. Brandon Vera, and will also be the kickoff for the new UFC’s Road to the Octagon prefight preview special.
