UFC on FOX 14 Official TV Ratings Highest Since January of 2014

January continues to be a strong month for UFC events on FOX, as the recent Gustafsson vs. Johnson event drew the networks largest UFC audience since UFC on FOX 10 on Jan. 25 of last year.

Anthony Johnson vs Alexander GustafssonSaturday’s UFC on FOX 14 drew an audience of 3.049 million, which was slightly lower that UFC on FOX 10’s 3.2 million, but topped all of the promotion’s other “Big FOX” events throughout 2014, according to Nielsen tracking numbers.

The UFC on FOX 14 telecast peaked at 3.646 million viewers during the Alexander Gustafsson vs. Anthony Johnson main event.

Johnson derailed the Swede on his home turf, not only winning the fight by TKOing him, but also taking his title shot. Johnson will now be the next challenge for troubled UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

Not only did the event do well on “Big FOX,” the preliminary telecast on FOX Sports 1 pulled strong number averaging 607,000 viewers over the course of a three-hour telecast.

    UFC should stick to free TV and they will get these kind of ratings, but they cant get away from the PPV model which will be the death of their company
