Returning to the UFC, Josh Thomson made a statement in the Octagon against Nate Diaz with a head kick, followed by a flurry of punches and hammer fists to seal the knockout victory. Thomson takes on Bobby Green at UFC Fight Night San Jose on July 26.

    Josh “the punk” Thompson is one of my favorite fighters. He later fought the former champ “smooth” Benson Henderson and actually won the fight, although the judges decided for Henderson in a controversial decision. Josh is ranked near the top of the UFC lightweight division and deserves a title shot. However, the current champion Anthony “showtime” Pettis, who took the belt from Benson Henderson, has shown no interest, most likely because he is afraid Josh will give him a good beatin’.
