Posted on by Andrew Potter

UFC-Aussie-Logo Tom Wright, Director of UFC Operations in Australia, New Zealand and Canada, confirmed that UFC Fight Night: Hunt vs. Bigfoot will take place on Dec. 6 (Dec. 7 in Australia) at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

He made the announcement at a press conference held at the Sofitel Hotel in Brisbane on Monday morning.

The card, which will air on Fox Sports 1 in the U.S., will be headlined by a heavyweight clash between New Zealand’s Mark Hunt and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.

The fight will be five rounds, with the rest of the card expected to be announced in the next two to three weeks.

It will be the fifth time that the UFC has visited Australia, with UFC on FX 6 the only other time it was held in the state of Queensland.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, Oct. 10, with UFC Fight Club members able to purchase early on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

I don´t like this fight. Far more compelling would be Big Foot vs Mir or Nelson. In case Overeem or Cormier gets injured.

Hopefully it’s a short & quick fight. I dun wanna see two big guys with $hitty cardio go for 25 mins.

I think Travis “Hapa” Brown deserves a rematch with Bigfoot !! Give Hunto v Stipe Miocic !!

I like this, give the winner Barnett, give the loser Nelson. If Josh beats the winner of this, then he can be considered a legitimate contender if DC really goes to 205. If the loser can’t get past Nelson then they don’t belong in the top ten. If DC stays at HW he should be next in line, if not then this sets up something other than Cain/JDS 4.
