UFC International Fight Week may have come to a close with Sunday’s The Ultimate Fighter 21 Finale, but the promotion’s flurry of activity continues with a special mid-week UFC Fight Night card in San Diego.
It doesn’t pack the punch that the record-setting UFC 189: Mendes vs. McGregor card did, but UFC Fight Night 71 features a heavyweight match-up between a longtime veteran and a rising talent each gunning for the same thing: title contention.
Mir came in at the upper end of the heavyweight limit, tipping the scale at 262 pounds, while Duffee was a full 21 pounds lighter at 241.
None of the fighters on the card had any issues making weight.
