The evening went without a Fight of the Night award, as all fighters who received bonuses were awarded based off Performance of the Night awards.
With his finish of former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson in the main event, dos Anjos led the Performance of the Night bonuses. After landing a flying knee, dos Anjos landed a left hand that put Henderson to the floor and ended the contest in the first round.
Mein capitalized on his co-main-event status, knocking out longtime veteran Mike Pyle. With a left hook, Mein floored Pyle, ending the fight moments later in the opening round.
Leites showed he’s more than a jiu-jitsu expert, knockout out Francis Carmont in their main-card fight. As Carmont was pressured against the cage, Leites unleashed a barrage of punches and ended the affair in the second round.
Saunders returned to the UFC with the Fight Night card, and it proved to be a huge night for his career with his Performance of the Night bonus. Saunders finished the fight with an omoplata, a move rarely seen as a finisher of fights in modern day MMA.
