UFC Fight Night 37 Medical Suspensions: Jimi Manuwa and Michael Johnson Get 180 Days Each

Jimi ManuwaThe UFC on Tuesday released the medical suspensions information from the recent UFC Fight Night 37 (UFC London) to mixedmartialarts.com, the official MMA record and suspension keeper for the Association of Boxing Commissions.

Several fighters from the Gustafsson vs. Manuwa fight card landed 180-day suspensions. Chief among them were main eventer Jimi Manuwa, who lost to Alexander Gustafsson via TKO, and co-main event fighter Michael Johnson, who defeated Melvin Guillard.

UFC Fight Night 37 took place Saturday, March 8, at the O2 Arena in London. There is no sanctioning body in England, so the UFC self-regulates its events there, including issuing and reporting suspensions.

UFC Fight Night 37 Medical Suspensions

Alexander Gustafsson was suspended for 30 days with no contact for 21 days.

Jimi Manuwa was suspended for 180 days unless he gets orthopedic clearance of both thumbs and his right finger. He faces a minimum suspension of 30 days with no contact for 21 days.

Michael Johnson was suspended for 180 days unless he gets an X-ray and medical clearance for his left hand. He faces a minimum suspension of 30 days with no contact for 21 days.

Melvin Guillard was suspended for 30 days with no contact for 21 days.

Brad Pickett was suspended for 180 days unless he gets an MRI and medical clearance for his neck. He faces a minimum suspension of 30 days with no contact for 21 days.

Neil Seery was suspended for 30 days with no contact for 21 days.

Gunnar Nelson was suspended for 180 days unless he gets an MRI and medical clearance for his left knee.

Omahi Arkmedov was suspended for 30 days with no contact for 21 days.

Ilir Latifi received a 7-day mandatory rest period.

Cyrille Diabate received a 7-day mandatory rest period.

Luke Barnatt received a 7-day mandatory rest period.

Mats Nilson was suspended for 30 days with no contact for 21 days.

Claudio Da Silva was suspended for 30 days with no contact for 21 days.

Brad Scott was suspended for 180 days unless he gets an MRI and medical clearance for his right shoulder.

Igor Araujo was suspended for 30 days with no contact for 21 days.

Danny Mitchell was suspended for 30 days with no contact for 21 days.

Louis Gaudinot received a 7-day mandatory rest period.

Phil Harris received a 7-day mandatory rest period.
