UFC Fight Night 36 Medical Suspensions: Lyoto Machida Out 180 Days Unless Medically Cleared

UFC Fight Night 36-478x270UFC middleweight contenders Lyoto Machida and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza both emerged victorious following their respective victories at UFC Fight Night 36 on Saturday night in Jaragua do Sul, Brazil.

Machida, however, injured his foot during the bout and landed on the medically suspended list. He faces the possibility of being on the sidelines for the next six months, although initial reports out of Brazil indicate it is not likely that he suffered a broken foot as originally suspected.

The Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission on Tuesday released the UFC Fight Night 36: Machida vs. Mousasi medical suspensions with every fighter on the card receiving at least a minimum suspension of 14 days.

UFC Fight Night 36: Machida vs. Mousasi took place on Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Arena Jaragua in Jaragua do Sul, Brazil.

Lyoto Machida was suspended 180 days unless cleared by physician with an X-ray of his left foot.

Gegard Mousasi was suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days.

Jacare Souza was suspended 14 days with no contact for 7 days.

Francis Carmont was suspended 14 days with no contact for 7 days.

Erick Silva was suspended 14 days with no contact for 7 days.

Takenori Sato was suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days.

Nicholas Musoke was suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days.

Viscardi Andrade was suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days.

Charles Oliveira was suspended 14 days with no contact for 7 days.

Andy Ogle was suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days.

Joe Proctor was suspended 14 days with no contact for 7 days.

Cristiano Marcello was uspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days.

Rodrigo Damm was suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days.

Ivan Jorge was suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days.

Francisco Trinaldo was suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days.

Jesse Ronson was suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days.

Iuri Alcantara was suspended 14 days with no contact for 7 days.

Wilson Reis was suspended 14 days with no contact for 7 days.

Felipe Arantes was suspended 14 days with no contact for 7 days.

Maximo Blanco was suspended 14 days with no contact for 7 days.

Ildemar Alcantara was suspended 14 days with no contact for 7 days.

Albert Tumenov was suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days.

Zubaira Tukhugov was suspended 14 days with no contact for 7 days.
