Machida vs MousasiThe Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission on Tuesday revealed that none of the fighters that were drug tested for UFC Fight Night 36: Machida vs. Mousasi returned positive results.

In other words, everyone passed.

UFC Fight Night 36 took place on Feb. 15 at Arena Jaragua in Jaragua do Sul, Brazil, before a crowd of 7,511.

Lyoto Machida bested Gegard Mousasi in the night’s five-round middleweight main event, putting his name at the top of the list for probably championship challengers for the winner of the UFC 173 bout between current champion Chris Weidman and challenger Vitor Belfort.

Another top middleweight contender, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, won his co-main event fight with Francis Carmont, putting him a close second to Machida in the title shot running.

With Wediman vs. Belfort not taking place until late May, it is possible that Machida and Jacare could end up fighting each before either one is guaranteed a shot at the belt.

the way you guys (mmaweekly) chose to write the title of the article, you make it seem as Lyoto Machida was the only positive tested drug result and that the rest were clean.

i knew that was not the case when i read the sneak peak intro paragraph, but come on. it’s sad that i’m getting used to reading mistakes within the first two paragraphs of your articles, but on article titles now? seriously?

      mmaweekly guys can’t write.

Why would anyone decide to write the headline that way?

The sad thing is, these guys get advertisement fees.

This was a great card. good/even appropriate match-ups and nobody was on drugs. The UFC looked legit for an evening..
