Alistair Overeem vs. Travis Browne

Round 1:  Overeem moves forward.  He lands a right hand.  They clinch.  Overeem delivers knees to the body. Browne comes back with a flying knee but Overeem takes him down.  Borwne gets up, but eats a knee to the body and goes back down. Overeem punches, pnches, punches. Overeem lands downed knee, ref doesn’t see it. Brown gets up, Overeem still punching. Browne fires back, but Overeem keeps coming, but slower. Still driving knees to the body. The fight slows, Overem landing a couple elbows. Overeem drags Browne to the mat, but he gets out and up. Browne starts attacking with high kicks. Overeemslips a punch and drives Browne to the fence, but Browne pushes him off. Browne body kick. 120 Browne lands a front kick to the chin, drops Overeem, follows him down and hammerfist s his way to victory.

The official time of the TKO was 4:08 of the first round.

    Goodbye Overeem, your glass chin was and always will be your downfall. This is a fight you should have won, but now I wouldn’t be surprised if Dana cuts you from the org. If you can’t beat guys like Bigfoot and Browne, you stand no chance against guys like Dos Santos and Velasquez. You don’t even make a good gatekeeper type heavyweight, so it’s to Bellator for you.
