UFC Fight Night 26 Medical Supensions: Travis Browne Out Indefinitely

Shogun-Rua-Chael-Sonnen-UFC-Fight-Night-26-weighThe UFC Fight Night 26: Shogun vs. Sonnen medical suspension list featured many of the usual 30 to 60-day suspensions, but also included four indefinite suspensions and two 180-day suspensions.

The Massachusetts State Athletic Commission on Tuesday released the UFC Fight Night 26: Shogun vs. Sonnen medical suspensions to MMAWeekly.com.

Shogun Rua and Chael Sonnen avoided the list, but both co-main event fighters, Travis Browne and Alistair Overeem, were on the list. Browne is one of the fighters that were suspended indefinitely.

UFC Fight Night 26 took place at TD Garden in Boston on Saturday, Aug. 17, with Sonnen submitting Shogun in their main event bout.

UFC Fight Night 26 Medical Suspensions

Travis Browne was suspended indefinitely, pending orthopedic and ophthalmological clearance.

Alistair Overeem was suspended for 60 days with no contact for 45 days due to a forehead laceration.

Iuri Alcantara was suspended for 30 days due to a laceration.

Mike Pyle was suspended for 45 days with no contact for 30 days.

Michael Johnson was suspended indefinitely, pending ophthalmological clearance.

Joe Lauzon was suspended for 60 days with no contact for 45 days.

Brad Pickett was suspended for 60 days with no contact for 45 days due to facial contusions.

Conor McGregor was suspended for 45 days unless cleared by an MRI.

Max Holloway was suspended for 30 days, but needs orthopedic clearance of his right ankle.

Mike Brown was suspended for 45 days with no contact for 30 days.

Diego Brandao was suspended for 180 days, pending orthopedic clearance of his right hand.

Daniel Pineda was suspended for 180 days with no contact for 45 days, pending orthopedic clearance.

Manny Gamburyan was suspended indefinitely with no contact for 30 days, pending a facial/head CT scan.

Cody Donovan was suspended indefinitely, pending orthopedic clearance of his left hand.
