Saturday night’s UFC Fight Night 25: Shields vs. Ellenberger continued a modest trend amongst Spike TV viewers, drawing an average audience of 1.8 million viewers for the two-hour broadcast.
That number falls well short of UFC Fight Night 24: Nogueira vs. Davis, which drew 2.2 million viewers, and slightly below UFC Fight Night 23: Fight for the Troops 2, which drew 1.85 million.
The draw was still strong enough to place UFC Fight Night 25 No. 2 in the Men 18-49 and No. 1 in the Men 18-34 key advertiser demographics among basic cable networks on Saturday night. The show was second only to ESPN’s college football broadcast in the Men 18-49 category.
Jake Ellenberger upset Top 10 welterweight Jake Shields in the evening’s main event, stopping him inside the opening minute of the fight.
