The Ultimate Fighting Championship descends upon Virginia for the first time on Monday night. Gray Maynard vs. Nate Diaz headlines UFC Fight Night 20 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va. The fighters weighed in Sunday afternoon for the promotion’s first-ever Monday night event.
Interestingly, every fighter on the card was exactly on his contracted weight. Not a single fighter was slightly over or slightly under.
Maynard, who is said to be very near a title shot should he get past Diaz on Monday night, stepped on the scale at 155 pounds, as did Diaz.
The night’s co-main event features The Ultimate Fighter season 8 lightweight winner Efrain Escudero putting his 12-0 record on the line against the also undefeated Evan Dunham. Escudero had no trouble making weight, recording 155 pounds, while Dunham also tipped the scales at 155.
