TOMMY SPEER VS. ANTHONY JOHNSON
R1 – Johnson edging ahead early with his kicks and punching. He catches Speer with a left kick to the head that drops Speer, but Speer is quickly back to his feet. Johnson is relentless, unloading with punching combinations, dropping Speer with a right cross to end the fight early.

GEORGE SOTIROPOULOS VS. ROMAN MITICHYAN
R1 – Mitichyan started striking early, but Sotiropoulos fought hard for and scored the takedown early on, immediately gaining the back of Mitichyan on the ground. Mitichyan attempted to stand up to maybe slam Sotiropoulos, but got caught in a rear naked choke, which he was able to fend off and reverse position, then get back to his feet. They once again hit the mat with Sotiropoulos dominating position and working various attempts for an armbar before running out of time.

R2 – Sotiropoulos again scores the early takedown and starts working from side control. He transitions to back mount and then full front mount and starts dropping down punches to Mitichyan’s face and body. He doesn’t relent and the referee stops the bout as Mitichyan is almost completely out.

CLAY GUIDA VS. SAMY SCHIAVO
R1 – Schiavo searched for an opening for his strikes early on, as the crowd was chanting for Guida. Guida held the center of the ring, patiently waiting for an opportunity. Midway into the round, Schiavo landed a couple of hard shots that appeared to hurt Guida, but Guida dropped for a double-leg and took his French opponent down, working from half guard. With 1:30 left, Guida attained full mount, then started dropping left hands to the side of the head until the referee stopped the fight.

MANNY GAMBURYAN VS. JEFF COX
R1 – Gamburyan gets caught shooting in with a guillotine attempt, but gets out quickly. They clinch along the fence for a time, before Gamburyan executes a beautiful Judo throw and immediately locks on a guillotine choke for the win.

MARCUS AURELIO VS. RYAN ROBERTS
R1 – They start trading blows immediately and Aurelio drops Roberts to the mat with a straight right, follows him down and locks on a fight ending armbar.

DIN THOMAS VS. JOSH NEER
R1 – A couple solid punching exchanges in the opening minute, with Neer appearing to get the better of them. Thomas then starts in with good head movement and crisp boxing before getting taken down. Working from the guard, Neer drops down some heavy punches. Thomas kicks Neer back and stands up. They exchange again before Thomas leg trips Neer to the canvas, doesn’t mount much offense, then stands the fight back up.

R2 – Some brief exchanges to start, then Thomas starts landing some stunning blows a little more than a minute in. Neer fires back intermittently with some good blows of his own. There are several exchanges of position from standing to ground and back, but with very little damage being done. Close, close round.

R3 – Neer starts the round with some stinging kicks to Thomas’ legs, putting him on the mat. He then starts working from guard with some solid ground and pound. Neer lands several elbows across Thomas’ face. About two minutes into the round, referee Herb Dean calls to have a deep cut under Thomas’ eye checked, but the fight is allowed to continue. Neer back s out and stands Thomas up, landing some hard kicks to Thomas’ right leg. In reaction, Thomas pulls guard and Neer continues his ground and pound attack.

HOUSTON ALEXANDER VS. JAMES IRVIN
R1 – James Irvin dropped Houston Alexander with the first punch of the bout, a superman punch. Irvin followed up with three more punches. It’s over. James Irvin wins by KO.

KURT PELLEGRINO VS. NATE DIAZ
R1 – Pellegrino takes Diaz down immediately and takes his back. Diaz controls Pellegrino’s wrists and rolls to full guard. Pellegrino works ground and pound and passes Diaz guard and unleashes punch after punch landing to Diaz’ face. Diaz weathers the storm but is bloodied. Diaz gives up his back and is able to get back to his feet. Diaz presses Pellegrino against the cage and works knees to Pellegrino’s legs.

R2 – The round starts with Diaz wanting to strike, but Pellegrino takes him down with a double-leg. Pellegrino works inside of Diaz’ guard. Diaz works for a kimura but nothing there. Diaz works his way back to to his feet and tosses Pellegrino, but Pellegrino maintains position. Pellegrino slams Diaz, but Diaz slaps on a triangle choke. Pellegrino was forced to tap out.

MATT HAMILL VS. TIM BOETSCH
R1 – Boetsch comes out looking to strike but Hamill gets him to the canvas. Hamill in half-guard with Boetsch working to get back to full-guard. The referee stands them up. Boetsch scoring with front kicks. Both fighters content to exchange on their feet. With a minute left, the pace slows with both fighters looking winded. Boetsch lands a knee, but Hamill fires back. The round ends with Hamill bleeding and moving foward.

R2 – Boetsch opens the round with leg kicks and knees, pressing the pace. Boetsch looks to be running out of steam in the Colorado elevation. Boetsch attempts a single-leg with Hamill landing hammer fists. Boetsch taking a lot of shots. The referee stops the action. Matt Hamill wins by TKO.

KARO PARISYAN VS. THIAGO ALVES
R1 – After a brief exchange, Karo clinches and takes Alves down landing in side control. Parisyan tries to mount Alves but Thiago gets back to half-guard. Alves gets back to his feet and seperates. Parisyan moving forward with jabs and kicks. Alves unleashes his first leg kick at the 3:00 mark. Parisyan ties Alves up along the cage. They seperate. Alves seems to have found his range, landing more shots. The round ends with Parisyan pressing Alves against the fence.

R2 – Parisyan opens with a high kick that was blocked. Alves lands a knee dropping Parisyan and follows up with punches. The referee stops the fight with Parisyan protesting the stoppage. Thiago Alves wins by TKO.

FRANKIE EDGAR VS. GRAY MAYNARD
R1 – A feeling out process on their feet for the first minutes before Edgar attempts a takedown that Maynard fends off. Edgar is moving forward, but neither fighter landing much. Edgar goes in for a flurry and Maynard secures a double-leg takedown. Edgar back to his feet but Maynard stays with it and takes Edgar back down. Edgar scrambles back to his feet. The round ends with both fighters exchanging jabs.

R2 – Maynard comes out more aggressive in this round with strikes. Edgar attempts a double-leg set up off a punch combination but Maynard defends. Maynard takes Edgar down but Edgar bounces back to his feet connecting with a punch on his way up. Edgar tosses Maynard but Maynard immediately gets back to the standing position. Maynard shoots in and gets a double-leg takedown. Edgar works for a Kimura. The round ends. Very close round.

R3 – The pace picks up at the start of the final round. They exchange strikes before Maynard goes for a takedown. Edgar defends. Edgar goes for a single-leg but doesn’t get it. Maynard gets the takedown but Edgar immediately back to his feet where Maynard lifts him and slams Edgar to the canvas. Edgar back up again, but slammed again. Maynard takes Edgar’s back but Edgar spins out and lands a combination as they seperate. Maynard again gets a double-leg and mounts Edgar. Edgar gets back to half-guard. Maynard moves to side control and then North-South position. The round ends.

KENNY FLORIAN VS. JOE LAUZON
R1 – Lauzon pushing foward early. Florian with an inside leg kick. Lauzon gets the takedown and lands in Florian’s guard. Florian throws elbows and they stand them up and warn Florian about striking to the back of the head. Florian picks up the pace with strikes and gets the takedown. Florian in side control. Lauzon back to his feet and gets Florian to the canvas. Lauzon inside Florian’s guard. Lauzon passes Florian’s guard and into side control. Florian gets back to half-guard. Lauzon goes for a heel hook but Florian escapes. Florian shoots in for a takedown. Florian gets Lauzon’s back but Lauzon controls his wrists. Florian gets the takedown but Lauzon lands on top. Lauzon goes for another heel hook but Florian escapes. The round ends with Florian throwing hammer fists. Razor close round.

R2 – After an exchange of jabs, Florian gets the takedown. Florian mounts Lauzon and works ground and pound. Lauzon gets out of the mount but Florian in side control where he works punches. Florian mounts him again. Lauzon unable to get Florian off of him. Florian continues to throw and land shots. Referee Herb Dean stops the fight. Florian defeats Lauzon by TKO.
