Riding a seven-fight winning streak, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck Liddell has not lost a fight in 3-1/2 years, that to Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. He hasn’t lost a fight in the UFC in 4 years, a loss to current UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture at UFC 43, which he has since avenged… twice.
On May 26th, Liddell returns to the Octagon for the first time since defeating Tito Ortiz at UFC 66. At the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nev., he steps in to face the one man that has defeated him that he has yet to avenge. That man is Quinton Jackson, whom he lost to in Jackson’s Pride ring. The rematch takes place in Liddell’s Octagon and for his UFC belt.
Liddell has been a busy man of late. Besides being in the midst of training for the UFC 71 main event, he was also featured on a recent episode of the popular HBO series “Entourage”. He really managed to capture the essence of his character.
Tonight, on a very special episode of MMAWeekly Radio, Liddell joins Damon & Jeff to discuss his thoughts and preparations for his upcoming UFC title defense against Jackson, his stint on “Entourage” and more. Listen in Live tonight at 6pm PT / 9pm ET.
