The
fighters for Saturday’s href="http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/templates/rumors.asp?articleid=5498&zoneid=14">UFC
85 at the O2 Arena in London weighed in on Friday, but not everyone made
weight as planned.

American
Top Team fighter Thiago Alves, former UFC welterweight champion Matt Hughes’
opponent in the main event, weighed in at 174 pounds, a full three pounds over
the allowable 171 pounds for a welterweight bout. The fight will still occur,
but has been changed to an agreed upon catch weight of 174 pounds.

Saying that
this is a comeback fight for him, Hughes said after weighing in, “I’m very happy
to fight an up and comer like Thiago. If I beat him he’s someone I can put on
my resume for down the road.”

Despite
struggling with his weight, Alves was confident in his post weigh-in comments. “You’re
gonna see the best ‘Pitbull’ ever and I’m gonna knock him out.”

Everyone
else on the card made weight without incident.
