Current UFC lightweight champion B.J. Penn and former
champion Sean Sherk step into the Octagon on Saturday night in Las Vegas to
settle weeks of banter. But there’s more at stake than that for each fighter.
Penn is looking to secure his legacy; Sherk is looking for redemption.
Penn addressed the crowd after stepping on the scales.
"I’m going to give everything I’ve got," said the champion.
"I’m not going to stop."
"I trained my ass off for this thing," Sherk said
to Joe Rogan. "I’ve got a job to do and that’s what I’m here for."
Other key bouts include Lyoto Machida facing Tito Ortiz in
what Ortiz says will be his final bout in the Octagon. The former light
heavyweight champion took the stage wearing a t-shirt that read, "Dana is
Wanderlei Silva, in one of five light heavyweight bouts,
will be looking to end a three-fight skid when he faces Keith Jardine.
