The Ultimate Fighting Championship on Monday announced several fights for its upcoming UFC 81 event on Feb. 2, which features an interim heavyweight title bout between Tim Sylvia and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and the Octagon debut of Brock Lesnar against Frank Mir.
Fights added to the pay-per-view portion of the event include two middleweight bouts. Ricardo Almeida makes his UFC return as he takes on Alan Belcher. Nate Marquardt looks to return from his loss to middleweight champion Anderson Silva in a bout against rising talent Thales Leites.
Rounding out the main card is a lightweight bout between Tyson Griffin and Gleison Tibau.
The undercard thus far is comprised of three officially announced bouts, the UFC typically slates four preliminary contests. Marvin Eastman drops to the middleweight division to challenge Terry Martin, light heavyweights Tomasz Drwal and David Heath square up, and Keita Nakamura faces Rob Emerson in lightweight action.
