Urijah Faber vs. Alex Caceres
Round 1: Caceres threw a leg kick and was nearly brought down by Faber. The two scrambled until Faber was able to put his opponent on his back. While there, Faber applied a combination of strikes while working from guard. Caceres couldn’t work from that position, and Faber continued landing strikes while staying active in guard. Towards the end of the round, Faber stood and Caceres attempted upkicks.
Round 2: Faber landed a right hand to open up the second round, and he followed that up with a takedown. After eating some ground and pound, Caceres returned to the feet and landed a lead uppercut. He attempted a kick to the body, but Faber caught it and worked towards a body lock against the fence. They separated and Faber closed the distance and secured a judo throw that momentarily brought the fight ground, but they returned to the feet. The round ended soon after.
Round 3: Caceres continued to attempt kicks in the final round, but Faber was able to take him down while holding a single leg. Caceres gave up his back and Faber sunk in the rear-naked choke.
