The flyweights are set to take center stage for the first time on a pay-per-view when champion Demetrious Johnson puts his belt on the line against Ali Bagautinov at UFC 174 on Saturday night in Vancouver.
Johsnon, Bagautinov, and the rest of the fighters stepped on the scale on Friday to make their bouts official.
For his part, Johnson sounded more than ready to go.
“He’s beat the best of the best and I’m ready to do it Saturday night. I can’t wait.”
The co-main event features a key welterweight bout between Rory MacDonald and Tyron Woodley, two 170-pounders that believe they are due a title shot.
Other featured fights on the main card include former Strikeforce light heavyweight champ Feijao Cavalcante and former UFC heavyweight champ Andrei Arlovski in separate bouts, trying to return to the upper echelon of their respective divisions.
None of the fighters on the card had any issues making weight.
