2 title shots and the Mir/reem fight should be a blood bath.

when I knew that the unification bout was scrapped I thought Aldo vs. Lamas would be moved up to headline …

is really Faber a far bigger draw for casual fans than Aldo? If yes, what are the reasons? I can’t get it … and somehow I think casual fans partially ignore that Faber lost to Aldo in brutal fashion …

It’s more that Faber is a bigger draw than Lamas.

I don’t think that there was any particular reason why they left Barao vs Faber as top billing. Albeit, yes the heavier weight classes usually do get top billing. But, the original fight card line up was only scheduled b/c they wanted to pay homage to a returning fighter. However the UFC, justified in doing so, also saw the exorbitant revenue potential of the title unification bout and decided to give top billing to Cruz vs Barao. After Cruz pulled out with his injury I think the UFC kept Barao as top billing b/c they couldn’t be bothered to change the Main event YET AGAIN. I highly doubt that their reasoning was anything even remotely close to being b/c of who they determined who was or was not the “bigger draw.”

    Card is a little light!
