UFC 168 Weigh-In Show Becomes Most-Watched Weigh-In Program in Fox Sports History

Ronda Rousey vs Miesha Tate UFC 168The UFC 168: Weidman vs. Silva 2 weigh-in show was the most-watched weigh-in program ever to broadcast on a Fox Sports Media Group channel, a network official told MMAWeekly.com.

When fighters hit the scales, an audience of 275,000 people tuned in to watch Ronda Rousey, Anderson Silva and others weigh in for their UFC 168 fights.

According to Fox, the weigh-in show also took the spot for most-watched Fox Sports 1 program of the day, airing at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT.

The previous weigh-in show on the network took place on Dec. 13 for UFC on Fox 9, hitting an audience of 44,000. The UFC 168 show’s audience jumped 525 percent from the previous effort.

Prior to last Friday’s record-breaking numbers, the most-watched weigh-in show since the UFC-Fox TV deal began was for UFC 158Former welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre tipped the scale for a bout with Nick Diaz last March, garnering an audience of 215,000 on Fuel TV.
