Anthony PeroshThe Ultimate Fighting Championship handed out $50,000 performance bonuses to four fighters following UFC 163 on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Anthony Perosh, Sergio Moraes, Ian McCall and Iliarde Santos took home the bonus awards.

Knockout of the Night honors went to Anthony Perosh, who knocked out Vinny Magalhaes in just 14 seconds.  The Australian knocked Magalhaes down with a right hand and finished with a series of punches on the ground.

The Submission of the Night award went to Sergio Moraes for his first round submission of Neil Magny.  Moraes was able to get inside Magny’s reach advantage to get the fight to the ground.  From there, he applied a triangle choke and forced The Ultimate Fighter alum to tap out.

Fight of the Night was awarded to flyweights Ian McCall and Iliarde Santos.  The fight kicked off the preliminary card that aired on FX.  McCall was the quicker fighter, beating Santos to the punch throughout the fight.  Santos pressed forward and had his moments, but in the end, McCall won by unanimous decision.

In the main event, featherweight champion Jose Aldo defended his 145-pound title for the seventh time, twice in the WEC and five times in the UFC by defeating “The Korean Zombie,” Chan Sung Jung.

Aldo dominated the fight with his speed and wrestling.  Jung dislocated his shoulder during an exchange in the fourth round.  Aldo recognized Jung’s injury and unloaded on him with strikes, forcing the referee to stop the fight.

It started with silva, now this.the brazilians have been figured out.
Machida should learn how to fight other than point fighting

Stupid statement. I hardly think anyone’s nationality is a reflection on their fighting acumen. And what about Aldo, Glover etc? They don’t seem to have been figured out. And what happens when a Brazilian fights another Brazilian? Is that the same as a Brazilian being “figured out”? You sir, are an idiot.

Vinnie is once again exposed in a stand up fight. I think he is Bellator bound.

Wow, two fights, two quick KOs, a total of 21 second, different out comes. Good way to retaliate after Jimmo laid him out in 7 secs.

im glad vinny got ko’ed he was being real disrespectful with the s*** he was saying about perosh pre fight talking about he should be cut if he lost and just not giving perosh any credit at all. hopefully he does get cut, he’s actual skill level seems more suitable for bellator anyway.

Being a Nole also, I obviously agree. I am just baffled by Vinnie, and I think he and his world class jijitsui need to go bye bye. I have not seen this guy do anything significant except talk crap.
