UFC 160 Medical Suspensions: Mark Hunt, Gray Maynard Could Be Sidelined Until November

Mark Hunt Pride NYE 2005The UFC 160: Velasquez vs. Bigfoot 2 medical suspensions were released to MMAWeekly.com Tuesday by the Nevada Athletic Commission.

Several of the event’s fighters could be on the sidelines until late November, including co-main event fighter Mark Hunt, who suffered a broken right toe. Gray Maynard joined Hunt with a provisional suspension until November unless he gets ophthalmological clearance for a dilated right pupil.

UFC 160 took place Saturday, May 25, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

UFC 160 Medical Suspensions:

Antonio Silva: Suspended until June 25 with no contact prior to June 16.

Junior dos Santos: Suspended until June 25 with no contact prior to June 16 due to an eyebrow laceration.

Mark Hunt: Suspended until Nov. 22 unless he gets clearance from a doctor for his broken right toe. He faces a minimum suspension until July 25 with no contact prior to July 10.

Glover Teixeira: Must have right hand and left elbow x-rayed. If positive, he must get a doctor’s clearance or he is suspended until Nov. 22.

Gray Maynard: Needs ophthalmological clearance for a dilated right pupil or he is suspended until Nov. 22. He faces a minimum suspension until July 25 with no contact prior to July 10.

Donald Cerrone: Suspended until July 10 with no contact prior to June 25 due to right elbow and right eyebrow lacerations.

KJ Noons: Suspended until July 25 with no contact prior to July 25 due to multiple facial lacerations.

Mike Pyle: Suspended until June 25 with no contact prior to June 16.

Rick Story: Suspended until July 10 with no contact prior to June 25 due to lacerations.

Dennis Bermudez: Must have both feet and his right hand x-rayed. If positive, then he must get a doctor’s clearance or he is suspended until Nov. 22. He faces a minimum suspension until June 25 with no contact prior to June 16.

Max Holloway: Suspended until June 25 with no contact prior to June 16 due to a laceration on his nose.

Colton Smith: Suspended until July 10 with no contact prior to June 25 due to left cheek laceration.

Khabib Nurmagomedov: Must have orthopedic evaluation on his left knee and be cleared by an orthopedic doctor or he is suspended until Nov. 22.

Stephen Thompson: Must have left foot x-rayed. If positive, he must get a doctor’s clearance or he is suspended until Nov. 22.

Brian Bowles: Must have right hand x-rayed. If positive, then he must get a doctor’s clearance or he is suspended until Nov. 22. He faces a minimum suspension until July 10 with no contact prior to June 25.

Estevan Payan: Suspended until July 25 with no contact prior to July 25 due to multiple facial lacerations.
