gsp 18-2 in the UFC, defended title 7 times…
diaz 7-5 in the UFC, never earn a chance to defend a title…

even if diaz somehow get the win, he won’t hold title for more then 1-2 fights… he just can not win 3 in a row in real competition…

what’s your definition of real competition? strikeforce fighters have more than hanged with the ufc guys. Its stupid to call them minor league, especially diaz who was their champion

OK, “real” doesn’t sound polite. Top is more precise. Let’s compare these two

Diaz in Strikeforce (2009-2011): Frank Shamrock, Scott Smith, Marius Žaromskis, Hayato Sakura, K.J. Noons, Evangelista Santos, Paul Daley

GSP in UFC (2007-2012): Josh Koscheck, Matt Hughes, Matt Serra, Jon Fitch, B.J. Penn, Thiago Alves, Dan Hardy, Jake Shields, Carlos Condit

Looks almost like any fighter from GSP’s group can go 3-0 against first group and from the first group only Diaz can go 3-0 against second group.

Totally agree, but it’s not fair to call Diaz “strikeforce fighter”. He started in the UFC, left, and now is back. The SF competition in the Welterweight category is absolutely a step down..

That said, I hope Diaz gets a career-ending beat-down and we can be done with this wannabe gangster cholo once and forever.

The recent Strikeforce fighters have all kicked ass. Strikeforce fighters are better fighters, they continue to win and finish.

You must have seen that in the forums. Diaz is a fucken beast. 3 in a row, no problem. Diaz by ass whoopin.

Diaz is a good fighter as per his record and opponents during his career but GSP is a legend using the same parameters. It’s a shame Diaz was given the shot and not Hendricks.
