I believe a lot of people are rooting for Liz for a number of reasons, most related to the blatant favoritism given to Rousey by the UFC and the media. To be given a UFC title having never fought is on the top of my list. Dodging Cyborg is another. Let’s get real: 140 is a fair compromise, and catchweights are common historically in MMA. On the other hand, what will happen if Liz pulls off this upset? I think it probably is a set back for women in the sport. Most women will then conclude it is a man’s sport, i.e. – the top woman is a lesbian who clearly looks male.

DId you watch it or just start posting for the hell of it? She said herself she won’t consider herself UFC champion until she wins inside the octagon.

As far as the cyborg fight, get over it, there is only one womens weight division in the UFC, if she can’t make weight, tough s***

Dan you shouldent comment on things…you just sound like an idiot. cyborg first off tested positive for PEDS. why should rousey go up to meet cyborg who got to her weight in the first place most likely due to PEDS? if cyborg ACTUALLY wanted to fight her shed drop 5 or so pounds. Also UFC has been around for 20 years at least and I can only think of a hand full of fights that happened at a catchweight. you need to brush up on ur MMA knowledge. along with your common sense

I’m just looking to see a good fight. It’s a pretty stupid comment to say that she didn’t deserve to be crowned ufc champion. She had proven herself to be the top 135 lb womens fighter in the world, and consequently, in the only Zuffa run promotion that had such a division. Soooooooooo……like Cruz and Aldo (exactly like them) they converted her belt to the UFC. It’s obvious how much Dana favors her but that could help cushion the blow to the casual fans if she loses. I don’t think Dana will just ditch womens fights without hyping a big rematch.

  • I think if Carmouche wins the UFC would have a better story to market. It would expose the life of our veterans in a real perspective not the Disney tale they tell ppl that once you get out your fine and dandy no. Plus this Rousey chick seems cocky and dull. Lets go Carmouchem Hoorah!

When you are in the spotlight there will always be people trying to cut you down with dumb comments. Rousey has done more for MMA in general, not just WMMA, than most of the superstars in such a short period of time. Cyborg needs to rebuild her drug riddled image before worrying about Rousey. A catch weight fight, with no belt on the line, against a proven PED user would be a stupid move. Forget about Cyborg smashing through opponents with her “unreal” strength for the time being, and enjoy watching Rousey use her martial arts to win fights with technique.
