Nick Ring at UFC 135The UFC 154 middleweight bout between Nick Ring and Costa Philippou has been cancelled.

Ring and Philippou both made weight on Friday, but Ring fell ill and could not be ready for Saturday night’s fight at the Bell Centre in Montreal, according to UFC officials. Philippou is expected to receive his show money, despite the cancellation.

The Ring vs. Philippou bout was slated for the pay-per-view main card, causing a shift in the preliminary bouts.

A lightweight bout between Marc Bocek and Rafael dos Anjos will now get the bump up from the FX preliminary broadcast up to the main card on pay-per-view.

Antonio Carvalho vs. Rodrigo Damm, a featherweight bout originally slated for the prelims streaming on Facebook, moves up to the FX preliminary bout broadcast, taking the place of Bocek vs. dos Anjos.

what a weird choice to put Bocek on the main card, wtf??

Why not Cote/Sakara? Sakara is a walking highlight machine, win or lose.

Bocek gets the main card with 4 decisions in his last 5 fight just because he is canadian… that is lame. Cote is Canadian and a former title challenger, makes way more sense.

Well, since Cote and Sakara don’t even belong in the UFC, why would they be on the main card. Seriously, Cote’s carrer highlight real is putting up 3 fingers when he made it to the 3rd round against Anderson Silva, and that is just because Silva decided to not throw any strikes that fight. Cote’s last UFC win, 2008. Sakara is just as bad.
