The UFC’s matchmaking team this week is hard at work on the promotion’s numerous summer fight cards.
The latest addition is a middleweight contest pitting Jared Hamman against Michael Kuiper at UFC 150 on Aug. 11 in Denver.
Hamman’s representatives at Alchemist Management acknowledged the bout on Tuesday.
Hamman (13-4) has had a rough ride during his UFC tenure. He has gone 2-3 in the Octagon, alternating between wins and losses.
He most recently suffered a knockout loss at the hands of Constantinos Phillappou at UFC 140 in Toronto this past December. He’ll be looking to Kuiper to try and get back on track.
That may be no small feat, however.
Kuiper (11-1) entered the UFC with an undefeated record, but lost a unanimous decision to Rafael Natal in his Octagon opener at UFC 143 on Super Bowl weekend.
Expect both men to put everything on the line in this one, as back-to-back losses don’t bode well for either.
The lightweight title rematch between current UFC champion Benson Henderson and former champion Frankie Edgar headlines the UFC 150 fight card at the Pepsi Center.
