I’ve watched this fight a thousand times and I would love Chael to win but I don’t think he can. 3 points:

If you watch this fight there were times that Anderson was letting Chael hit him over and over, not defending himself at all. I think those took their toll in accumulated shots over the course of the fight. Think Anderson is going to be letting Chael hit him this time around?

Keep in mind that Anderson fell once and threw a strange knee that Chael used to take him down very easily without much struggle. Both of those those takedowns led to the rest of the round of Anderson on his back (2nd and 4th). These were flukes that probably won’t happen this time.

Lastly, Chael was almost 17 times over the average man’s testoterone of 1:1 in the 1st fight. 16.9 : 1 was his ratio in 2010. Chael won’t be allowed to be anywhere near this on the 7th. He of course can be but he’ll be suspended and stripped (if he wins).

All of this and Anderson was beating his ass at points in this fight. Beginning of the 4th he was picking Chael apart and hurting him before he fell.

Goes without saying the he didn’t win the 1st matchup with all of these figured in.

Love to see it happen but it won’t, it just won’t.

I think you are in a state of delusion… Silva would have lost all 5 rounds had he not tapped Chael. He was getting his ass kicked and losing on points.

      • mrsister

What is your point? You say that I’m delusional and tgst Chael was winning the fight. I never said that Chael wasn’t winning the fight. I don’t know who would contend that Chael wasn’t winning the fight. Did you just want to write something because what you wrote didn’t make any sense?

  • take1

With Chael saying he will leave UFC if he loses, what do you think the chance is he’ll show up with elevated levels just to increase his chance to win. He may just want to beat Anderson and may leave anyway after he gets the title stripped if indeed he wins.

Take1: From the research I’ve done, Chael wont be leaving the UFC if he loses. Now Im going to paraphrase here but notice what he says “He will leave if he loses a fight to anderson silva on super bowl weekend” Chael knew the whole time he would never be fighting him on super bowl weekend thats why he said it. To get people to start talking. And to get the people that dont “Read into” what people actually are saying, To believe he will leave the UFC in his next fight with Anderson. Chael even was approached about this in a Interview, and he basically was saying, That “Him leaving the UFC Deal” Has passed, Its no longer something thats going to happen because that “Deal” Is no longer available(Im assuming becasue he didnt fight him during Super Bowl Weekend).

Because he has medical clearance for TRT this time I believe they will be testing him before the fight and will not clear him unless his levels are below 7:1 or something like that…but don’t quote me…I just think I remember reading that somewhere.

Anyway, I haven’t seen the first fight since it actually happened, but I agree with most of what mrsister said, except of course the part about wanting Chael to win.

Chael had so much trouble taking Bisping down in the Fox fight because he wasn’t on high levels of Steroids/TRT and he’s going to have the same trouble taking Silva down in this rematch. Any fighter can take Silva down with ease when their testosterone level is that unnaturally high. If a Chael Sonnen on steroids can’t beat Silva, then a clean Chael Sonnen definitely can’t beat Silva.

Keldricshannon: theres so many things wrong with what you said. I’ll begin with

Quote 1: “Chael had so much trouble taking Bisping down in the Fox fight because he wasn’t on high levels of Steroids/TRT”

Response: It has nothing to do with Steroids for 1. And yes Chael does Enhance his Testosterone, However Thats not why the bisping fight went the way it did. After the silva fight >>IN MY OPINION<>ASSUMING<< That many fighters didnt take chaels wrestling as seriously as they should, Even though they MUST know that is how chael fights. I mean cmon thats how all of his fights go, His opponents obviously know thats what hes going to do. They have to at least studied 1-2 if not ALL of his fights. Thats ALL chael does. Fighters just cant figure out how to stop it. So What I'm getting at is Bisping was smart, He probably practiced like hell against getting taken down.

Quote 2: " Any fighter can take Silva down with ease when their testosterone level is that unnaturally high"

Response : Please research chael. He is the master of Taking down people and punching them in the face for 5 minutes without letting up. THATS HOW HE FIGHTS. Testosterone is not needed. HOWEVER : Do I believe chael will go into the fight with his testosterone at the highest levels he can have them with still being allowed to fight… simply YES. And if you researched chael. You would understand.

Quote 3: "If a Chael Sonnen on steroids can’t beat Silva, then a clean Chael Sonnen definitely can’t beat Silva."

Response: Again, Illegal steroids were not at use. Chael sonnen has never fought silva on Illegal steroids.

People seem to think, Anderson Silva fight was chaels first rodeo. Chael kicks everyones ass. from start to finish.( Although I think fighters are starting to take chaels fighting style a bit more serious). Chael has lost 11 fights. 9 by submission 1 by Majority Decision and 1 because chael was bleeding. Chael followers know that chael usually kicks peoples asses the entire fight and then 9 out of 39 of his fights he gets caught by a quick submission because he goes balls to the wall and slips up.

For people that dont REALLY know chael. Research him, Theres plenty of Fights/Press Conferences/Interviews on Youtube.

“Testosterone is a steroid hormone from the androgen group and is found in mammals, reptiles,[1] birds,[2] and other vertebrates. In mammals, testosterone is primarily secreted in the testicles of males and the ovaries of females, although small amounts are also secreted by the adrenal glands. It is the principal male sex hormone and an anabolic steroid.”…. and in elevated levels it is illegal… Ohh and I did research Chael on youtube… he’d a disrespectful douche.

Quote from me 1:”It has nothing to do with [illegal]Steroids for 1. And yes Chael does Enhance his Testosterone,”

Response :Quote from this article :http://www.livestrong.com/article/81217-naturally-increase-testosterone-steroids/

“There are many ways to naturally boost testosterone without steroid use. In fact, taking steroid hormones such as testosterone and its chemical analogs actually shuts down the body’s natural production of this important muscle-building hormone. The way you train and eat can drastically affect the amount of testosterone your body produces. In addition, there are a few natural supplements that may also boost testosterone.”

Quote from me 2:”Again, Illegal steroids were not at use. Chael sonnen has never fought silva on Illegal steroids.”

Response :President Dana White says that UFC fighters are not allowed to use steroids, illegal drugs or any banned substances.

    From research :
However in some cases Its OK for fighters to use TRT.. Go figure?

“Chael Sonnen has been given the go-ahead by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) for the therapeutic use of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) after a brief hearing in Las Vegas this past Monday. The scheduled bout between UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen will go on as planned at UFC 148 on July 7 in Las Vegas, Nevada.”

Now, Yes, Chaels Testosterone tests were way off the charts when he was tested about UFC 117. Thats known information. But what I’ve gathered is he was useing TRT for medical reasons (maybe?). I mean why else would he be cleared for Steroid use for UFC 148( Remember Testosterone is a Steroid ;-) ). Granted he cant test over 6:1, But they can still be in his system during the Pre and Post fight drug tests.

My conclusion and opinion from my research :
    1. Was chaels testosterone ratio ILLEGAL? :Yes
    2. From what Ive read does it appear to me the way ALL the articles I’ve read are –WORDED–( Taking into account when the article was published)that chael used ILLEGAL STEROIDS : No, He had medical use of TRT.
    3. Do I think chael abused his medical use of TRT for UFC 117? : Duh!
    4. Do I stand by my original wall of text post? : Yes . Please note I forgot to use the word “Illegal” before my first mention of steroids.
    5. Do I think alot of fighters use Illegal PEDs : Yes just some are smarter with them than others, and dont get caught.

    Shereko said:
““Testosterone is a steroid hormone from the androgen group and is found in mammals, reptiles,[1] birds,[2] and other vertebrates. Shereko clearly in my opinion did 1-2 hours of research on chael. ( Which is NOT enough, 20-40 Hours and for some maybe even more is required IMO to understand chael) On top of that Shereko didnt catch on to the way I was wording my post. I was purposfully saying “Illegal Steroids” and not “Illegal USE of Steroids”. Which only shows me Shereko doesnt really understand chael, as Chael does this exact type of thing with his wording of his “Jokes”.

    My fight Prediction:
Chael is known for going balls to the wall for the entire fight making world class fighters look like jokes with his fighting style.( Anderson silva wasnt the first one.) I’m banking on that Chael will make anderson silva look bad most of the fight, With chael having a VERY high percentage of getting caught in a submission, or Chael wins by Unanimous Decision.(Why do I predict this? Thats almost how all of chaels fights go ;-) )

My Dream for UFC 148: Intense fight all the way to the final seconds of round 5 when Anderson and Chael throw knock out punches at the same time, and they both fall to the mat knocked out. I would LOVE to see chaels “american gangsta” act run with that story ;-)
