Round 1: Maia immediately takes the center of the cage and goes for a takedown. Kim lands elbows as Maia works for the single leg. Maia slips around and takes his back and gets the takedown. He lands in the mount position. Maia celebrates and gets up after throwing two punches. Kim remains on the canvas. It looks like he has a broken rib. A doctor is checking on Kim.

The official time of the technical knockout came at 41 seconds of the first round.
