Jon Jones and Rashad Evans at UFC 145The heat stoking the flames of the grudge between UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and challenger Rashad Evans may have quelled a bit, but fire for the fight still burns bright inside the former teammates, as witnessed by their staredown following Wednesday’s UFC 145 pre-fight press conference in Atlanta.

    I for one am not a fan of either of these egomaniacs. I think a champion is defined by his opponents and I really don’t think Jones has seen much. Say what you will but 205 is weak right now. Rashad is one of my least favorite fighters but I actually hope he knocks Jones’s tall skinny ass out so all the Jones nuthuggers realize he is just a fighter not a GOD! Go Retard.

      Wow! LHW has been stacked since Pride-UFC merger. It seems weak because all of the meaningful fights have already taken place. But you can’t knock the talents in that division.

    i don’t know where people get this KO theory for Jones when he hasn’t shown the clearest sign of having KO power in the UFC. will he win? maybe. but for sure NOT by KO. if anyone wins by KO it would be evans..now i’m nuetral with this fight and I just wanna see a great fight.

    Jake Obrien, Stephan Bonnar, Brandon Vera, The janitor, Ryan Bader ( lost 2 of his last 4), Shogun(lost 3 of last 5), Quinton Jackson ( need I even say- 1 dimensional), Lyoto ( the last undefeatable guy who has lost 3 of his last 4).

      umm…you are funny we get it.

      Shogun lost three of his last 5 AFTER the fight against Jones. And one of the losses was a controversial one against Lyoto.

      Again, Lyoto lost a controversial decision against Rampage. His only other loss BEFORE the Jones fight was against Shogun.

      Quinton Jackson almost killed Rashad in the 3rd round, which was the most meaningful action in the fight.

    As a general rule, anything you type on the Internet about a fighter should be something you would be willing to say right to his face. If people approached their comments that way, there would be a 99% reduction in the fighter disrespect that occurs on MMA message boards.

        Thanks longtime fan. Yes, with over 20 years of martial arts experience in three different forms, I absolutely would in fact say that to his face. The problem is that “dgs” doesn’t know what it is like to fight or to stand up to anyone, because he doesn’t have to while living in his mommy’s basement. I think his statement proves what a chicken sh*t he really is.

Do you not think how dull it would be if we were all magnanimous and liked each fighter equally? That’s half the fun on these sites, discussing fighters with other fans, second guessing what will happen etc. And if 99% of the traffic was removed from these sites? That would be fun wouldn’t? Grow a set and get on with it, I’m sure you’re far more offended than retard Evans would be.

    I would have no problem whatsoever saying anything I type on a message board to that person’s face. I don’t disrespect professional fighters. It’s one thing to say you don’t like a fighter’s style, as I have said many times about Jake Shields for example. But I don’t need to call the man “retarded” because I’m a 43 year old adult, not a juvenile punk kid.

    And TKD (interesting user name, since I started my training in Jhoon Rhee TKD in Miami Florida), big deal about your martial arts training. I’ve been training in various arts since I was 24 years old, and I have been training for the past six years at Guy Mezgers gym in Dallas. Your background means nothing to me. You’re still a disrespectful turd, and I still say you would not call the man a retard to his face. I’m sure Rashad probably would just walk away from you. He’s probably smart enough to realize a fool like you ain’t worth a lawsuit and/or jail time.
