Takeya Mizugaki vs. Chris Cariaso

Round 1:  Cariaso throws a high kick that’s blocked.  Mizugaki misses with a counter right hand.  Cariaso lands a nice right hand.  Mizugaki tries to get the fight to the ground but Cariaso moves to the side.  Cariaso lands a left hand.  They clinch and Mizugaki secures a takedown.  We’re halfway through the round.  Cariaso goes for an omoplata.  Mizugaki gets free and works ground and pound inside of Cariaso’s guard.  Mizugaki lands a hard right hand.  Cariaso lands elbows from the bottom.  Mizugaki unable to pass Cariaso’s guard.  Mizugaki lands punches to the body and head in the final seconds.  MMAWeekly.com scores the round 10-9 for Mizugaki.

Round 2:  Mizugaki is more aggressive to start the round.  He moves forward with punches and ties Cariaso up against the cage.  They separate.  Cariaso throws a high kick that’s blocked.  Cariaso lands a right hand and Mizugaki misses with an uppercut.  Mizugaki looks to get the fight to the ground.  Cariaso defends and they’re tied up along the cage.  Cariaso lands knees to Mizugaki’s body.  Mizugaki secures a takedown.  Cariaso doing a good job controlling Mizugaki’s posture.  Mizugaki gets free, sits up and lands punches.  Cariaso controls his head.  Cariaso sweeps him but Mizugaki spins and gets to his feet.  They clinch and Cariaso lands a nice elbow at the bell.  MMAWeekly.com scored the round 10-9 for Mizugaki.

Round 3:  They take the center of the Octagon.  Cariaso partially lands a head kick.  Mizugaki moves forward and presses Cariaso against the cage.  They exchange knees to the body inside the clinch.  Cariaso turns him and works for a single leg takedown.  Mizugaki fights it off.  They separate and Cariaso lands a combination on the break.  Cariaso lands a left hook and drives forward.  They work for position along the fence.  Cariaso lands a knee to the body and another.  They separate and cariaso lands a right hand on the break.  Cariaso throws a head kick and slips.  Mizugaki jumps into his guard with two minutes left on the clock.  Mizugaki lands a left hand.  Cariaso lands peppering shots to Mizugaki’s body from the bottom.  Mizugaki passes to half guard but Cariaso adjusts and gets back to full guard.  Cariaso uses the cage and gets to his feet.  He lands a big right hand at the bell.  MMAWeekly.com scores the round 10-9 for Cariaso.

The judges scored the fight for Chris Cariaso by unanimous decision.  All three judges scorecards read 29-28.

    Although it was not a lopsided win, it was an obvious win for Mizugaki. More fuel for the fire to get Dana to figure this crap out. MMA judges are just terrible.

    Was looking for mizugaki’s fights to realize Dana ZeFag White fked up again? Or did he?

    Rather have ticket and PPV’s sellers win than real fighters.

    Well I thank him for giving me new reasons each time to watch all that crap on the internet and to refuse giving money in any way :p
