UFC 141 Video: Johny Hendricks Blessed with Powerful Left Hand

Johny Hendricks shocked nearly everyone at UFC 141: Lesnar vs. Overeem on Friday night, knocking out former No. 2 ranked welterweight Jon Fitch in a mere 12 seconds. It shocked nearly everyone, but Hendricks and his team.

MMAWeekly.com caught up with Johny Hendricks at the UFC 141 post-fight press conference, where he talked about his puncher’s chance, saying, “The good Lord blessed me with a left hand.”

And he used it to full effect on Friday night.

    Maybe it’s time for Fitch to beg and plead Dana now for that title shot. Oh, wait…He lost!! Hahaha!

    At least people can stop griping to Fitch now. He didn’t go to a decision.

    I can’t think of a more popular result in the last few years than this one. I can’t stand watching Fitch fight but it would’ve been hard to deny him a second shot had he kept on winning. It’ll be interesting to see who they pair Hendricks against next.

    2 opponents that I would like to see for Hendricks would be Kos, and Alves.

    Yeah I’d be interested to see him against alves. I think they’ll pair him up with kampmann though.

    Fitch said ” I’m the number 2 welter weight in the world, if anyone wants to fight GSP, they should have to go through me first”

    12 second KO. not much of a gate keeper.
    Props to Hendricks, I like they guy. His victory made all the sweeter and more devestating to Fitch’s ego as Hendricks was overjoyed for the opportunity to fight Fitch, and not scared or apprehensive.

    Fitch, you have an excellent fight record, but it’s not working to your advantage. You’re under a lot of pressure now, if your next fight ends up a as a no contest loss like this one, or you fail to win in convincing fashion ( as in you finish the guy before round three ) Then it’s gonna be John who? as these younger guys exhibiting more promise pass you by.
