Castillo vs Njokuani UFC 141Round 1:  Njokuani bounces on the outside.  Castillo shoots in for a takedown but Njokuani has none of it.  Njokuani moves in with a flurry that comes up with air.  Castillo throws a left hook and shoots for a takedown.  He gets it but Njokuani gets to his feet only to be slammed back to the canvas.  Njokuani gets back to his feet and Castillo has his back and lands knees to his thigh.  Njokuani turns into him and Castillo secures the takedown and has the mount.  Njokuani gets up but can’t shake Castillo.  Castillo has his back.  Everytime Njokuani gets up, Castillo gets him back down.  Castillo looks for a rear naked choke.  Njokuana spins out and gains top position.  He applies a guillotine.  Castillo slams him and gets out of the submission attempt.  As Castillo tried to take his back, Njokuani gets up and separates.  The round ends.  MMAWeekly.com scores the round 10-9 for Castillo.

Castillo vs Njokuani UFC 141Round 2:  Njokuana misses with a front kick to start the round.  He works his jab.  Njokuani switches stances.  Castillo blocks a high kick and shoots for a takedown.  Njokuani stuffs it.  Castillo goes for another but can’t secure it.  They’re in the center of the Octagon.  Castillo goes for a takedown and Njokuani stuffs it and applies the Thai clinch.  He delivers knees to the body and head.  Njokuani lands an elbow as they separate.  Njokuani lands a right hand that hurts Castillo.  Castillo clinches and Njokuani lands a knee.  Castillo gets the takedown.  He peppers Njokuani with light ground and pound.  Njokuani has his guard closed.  Castillo lands a left hand.  Njokuani scrambles to his feet.  Castillo works for a takedown.  Njokuani tries to reverse position but finds himself on the bottom.  MMAWeekly.com scored the round 10-9 for Njokuani.

Castillo vs Njokuani UFC 141Round 3:  Both pump their jab in the other’s face.  Castillo thought about a takedown but it wasn’t there.  Njokuani lands a right hand counter.  Castillo goes for a takedown.  Njokuani defends it at first.  Castillo drives him to the cage and slams him to the canvas.  Njokuani is sitting with his back against the fence.  Castillo holds on, landing short shots to the body.  Njokuani gets to his feet but Castillo still has him clinched up.  He takes Njokuani’s back.  Njokuani rolls for a leg and gets back to his feet.  Njokuani lands an outside leg kick.  He lands a knee from the clinch and they separate.  Njokuani moves forward with a combination and Castillo ducks under for a takedown.  Njokuani gets back to his feet with a minute remaining.  Castillo lands knees to his thighs.  Njokuani gets free.  He lands leg kicks.  Njokuani tries to finish strong, landing a flying knee in the closing seconds.  MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Castillo.

Danny Castillo defeated Anthony Njokuani by split decision.  The judges’ scorecards read 29-28, 28-29, 29-28.

    I don’t see why Joe Rogan had to taint Castillo’s victory. He deserved it, There was no contavercy. What a disrespectful comment to a fighter with a lot of heart.
