Thanks Zuffa by already muddying up Lesnar’s return by adding the always boring & irrelevant Jon Fitch to what started out as a great event.

Here’s a perfect example of Zuffa taking advantage of fans.
We’ll give you Lesnar/Overeem but we’ll add a bunch of lame matches put together by the overrated Joe Silva after you give us 50 bucks for Lesnar’s return.
They know they’ve got you and they stick it to you.

    • justinworth

Lesnar and Overeem are overrated and everyone knows it. Lesnar should have never got a title shot as soon as he did. Lesnar hates to be hit and if he starts getting hit this will be a quick fight. Overeem sucks but compared to Lesnar will be an MMA god. I just cannot wait until Lesnar figures out that he will never have a championship again until someone gets it that he can lay on and overpower. If I was even half his size I could have a title I guess. Not taking anything away from Couture but that matchup should have never happened.

    • monkeyharris81

Looking forward to Donald Cerrone vs Nate Diaz should be a great match up, forget about Brock.

  • jared499

Sorry TraumaVictim, but I have to ask, how can you say Silva is overratted. He does his job very well, better then any match makers that come to mind.

As far as Fitch goes I agree that he is definately a boring fighter, but he wins. Something has to be said about Fitch being so good at his skill set that every opponent that fights him knows his gameplan and still can not beat him (except GSP). At some point people have to give him a small amount of credit for being able to execute his gameplan consistently each fight.

Fitch wins fights, who cares how he does it. And Brock Lesnar Vs. Alistair Overeem. I don’t care if there’s another UFC for the rest of the year and any true MMA fan should feel the same way. It will be a great card and Dana White if you see this, I belong working for your company because I have forgot more about MMA then most people want to know and I want to party with you and Joe Rogan. I turn 34 in May and that would be the greatest Birthday Present I’ve ever got.

    • justinworth

Just saying that Leasnar/Overeem will be a good fight is stupid. Dana White needs to hire someone that has no problem calling him a dumbass. The fights are usually great and a lot of thought put into them but this is crazy. I have said from day one that Lesnar is a joke in this sport. He is big I give him that but he get babied as well. Look at the Carwin fight Carwin had him beat and the fight should have been called but he was given every chance and in my opinion still got beat until he got a lucky submission. Just by you saying that you have forgot more than most people will ever know is a joke if you cannot even break down a fighter and figure out their strengths and weaknesses. Lesnar is strong but has more weaknesses than any other fighter that I have ever seen and I have been keeping up with this sport for as long as I can remember. Sorry to burst your bubble and if Dana sees this then man up and put shit together that is a must see.

HAHA! You sound ignorant! You are also a horrible writer.

“Fitch wins fights, who cares how he does it.” <–HAHA!

"And Brock Lesnar Vs. Alistair Overeem." <–not a complete sentence

" I don’t care if there’s another UFC for the rest of the year and any true MMA fan should feel the same way." <–HAHA! Dana will agree with you on that.

"It will be a great card and Dana White if you see this, I belong working for your company because I have forgot more about MMA then most people want to know and I want to party with you and Joe Rogan." <–Half of that sentence doesn't even make sense. Are you a foreigner? Your writing is horrible.

"I turn 34 in May and that would be the greatest Birthday Present I’ve ever got." <–Classic! You are really sad dude.

  • afk

Fact: Saying any fight is bad before it happens is plain ignorant and retarded. Anything you say after that point is irrelevant because you have already proven your inability to entertain ideas and speak intelligently.

People bitch about fanboys, noobs, hype, and the reality is that nothing you’re saying means anything to anybody who is in charge of putting these things together. They are doing a job to the best of their ability, and you are sitting at home bitching like a fat loser who can’t write with proper grammar, let alone an opinion worth garnering attention.

Get a life and in the meantime, I will continue watching this beautiful sport unfold.

  • afk

I also just have to say, that you’re even stupider for saying the Carwin/Lesnar fight should have been stopped. Should the Kongo/Barry fight have been stopped?

Lol, 20/20 hindsight is always amazing but you’re not a referee or an official of any kind, and I’m sure that there more people who support the non stoppage based on the outcome than people who don’t support it based on simply not liking Brock Lesnar.

Ignorant MMA junkies with no lives are a sad, sad population.

Now insert your rage essays flaming me with bad spelling and even worse usage of fight statistics. Hit me with your “MMA KNOWLEDGE” zomgz.

    • wonggfan

I don’t think Carwin/Lesnar fight should have been stopped.

What about Cain vs Fat Rothwell? Was that correctly stopped?

“Now insert your rage essays flaming me with bad spelling and even worse usage of fight statistics.”

Now this is a good point. I’ve seen some horrible writing on this site, even from the editors. No serious journalist would cover MMA.

  • bajafox

I’m pretty sure it’s NATE Diaz fighting Cerrone, not Nick

  • RonnieV

Nate & Cerrone will be a great fight. Two guys that like to bring it.

  • Towers66

I’m amazed how people are calling Fitch a boring fighter. He is excellent at what he does, he makes this card that much better. He may not have heavy hands, but he is very technical and always has good opponents. For a good reason. Nate Diaz vs. Cerrone, I am so excited for this. Brock Lesnar vs. Alistair, should be interesting to watch but I could give a rats ass who wins. This card looks to be getting stacked up pretty well. I think Joe Silva makes up some great cards but he is not the sole match maker. I believe quite a few other people may have some say-so in that department. Go Nate! Go Fitch! Woot!

  • collideoverme

I’m looking forward to Cerrone vs Diaz…

  • MikeMc1983

Ouch, Fitch getting less and less respect.
Unless I’m wrong and he’s no longer on this card.
I guess you don’t get any respect with that fighting style unless your the champion of that division.
Nate has been the more skilled Diaz for awhile so props to him. Nate and cowboy could be a wild one. Someone’s going to have to wrestle the fight of the night award from those two.

  • Dyldozer16

Im buying this card to see Lesnar and Gustafsson, but the main reason Im buying it is because of Cerrone vs. Diaz. It has fight of the night/Submission of the night written all over it.

Predictions: Lesnar by 2nd round TKO
    Cerrone by 3rd round sub.
    Fitch by Lay and Pray
    Gustafsson by 1st round KO
    Nam Phan by UD

  • VitoCapone

I think this card may fall apart. Overeem just moved back to Holland to take care of his sick (cancer) mother. The legal issues he has with GG will leave him short on gym to train. I can see him pulling out of this fight at the last minute. Diaz/Cerrone will be a great fight. I am a fan of both but I have to go with Cowboy on this one. He’s on a roll.

  • http://www.facebook.com/UtahPestControl raylane

First off, I think this card is great and will be fun to watch. I do have 2 small issues, however.

    1. Jon Fitch is the #2 WW, why is he fighting Hendricks instead of fighting for the interim title?

    2. I think booking Lesnar/Overeem right now is a mistake. Neither can afford to lose. More importantly, the UFC can’t afford to have either lose right now. Both should have had a warmup fight first.

  • johnnylopes

i think any fan would be a better match maker then Joe Silva at this point
