Round 3: Stephens quickly gets the fight to the ground with a double leg. Pettis looks for a triangle but Stephens sees it coming. They’re back to their feet. Stephens misses with a right hook and Pettis ducks under for a takedown. Stephens defends and has top position. Pettis sweeps him and they’re clinched, standing against the fence. Pettis gets a takedown at the half way point in the round. Stephens rides the fence back to his feet. Pettis separates and flurries and then gets a takedown. Stephens again gets back to his feet. Pettis tries to throw him but Stephens gets top position and takes Pettis’ back. Pettis gets up and they’re clinched up again. Stephens spins him and puts his back against the cage. Stephens gets a takedown but Pettis immediately gets back up. The fight ends. It’s going to the judges’ scorecards. Antony Pettis is declared the winner by split decision.
