Hougland looking for a triangle.  Walker proceeds to stack Hougland up and is now applying pressure looking to advance position.  Walker snaps off a Darce choke now, and is looking to tighten it up.  Hougland escapes and now has Walker back in his guard.  The round ends in a scramble, and both fighters looking for leg locks. Round 2: Hougland opens with a front kick to the stomach of Walker.  Hougland rushes in with a few looping hooks, but nothing significant.  Walker pops out a jab and back Hougland up a bit.  Low kick from Hougland snaps Walker’s shin as he looks to find his distance.  Spinning back fist from Hougland grazes Walker’s head.  Another succession of low kicks from Hougland.  Hougland shoots for a double leg, but Walker shrugs him off.  Body kick from Walker, as he looks to find a rhythm.  Hougland throws a three punch combo that sees the last two land pretty effectively.  Counter low kick from Hougland has Walker stepping back.  Walker looking to pop his jab, but Hougland keeps countering with low kicks, and they are doing damage.  Walker’s nose is reddening now.  A flying knee to the groin of Walker briefly halts the action.  Back to the action and Hougland is popping his jab now.  Counter left hook from Hougland stuns Walker, and Walker wobbles into a guillotine from Hougland.  Walker is turning red, but seems to be calm in the sub attempt.  30 seconds left.  The round ends with Walker, on the brink of tapping, surviving to round 3. Round 3:  Walker opens like a house on fire, eating a left hook from Hougland for his over-aggressiveness.  The fighters clinch now, with Walker applying pressure and lands a solid knee to the body of Hougland.  Walker now in half-guard, as he pummels Hougland with elbows and hammer fists.  Hougland keeping an active guard, looking for various submissions.  Hougland snaps an armbar and it’s real tight!  Walker picks Hougland up and slams him to the canvas, effectively breaking the submission.  Walker, now in Hougland’s guard and is peppering him with disruptive blows.  The referee steps in and separates the fighters and stands them back up.  Walker pops a counter straight right down the pipe onto Walker’s chin.   Hougland shoots, and Walker sprawls, now looking for a Darce choke.  Great sweep from Hougland, and he now finds himself in the guard of Walker.  Although Walker is staying active from his back, Hougland is landing strikes of his own, and is winning the round by doing so.  The round ends with both fighters staying active from the ground, but MMAWeekly.com scores this round for Hougland 10-9.
