Leading the way of course will be the rematch between UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and top 135lb contender Urijah Faber. Cruz lost to Faber a few years back when the pair met at 145lbs in the WEC, but since that time Cruz hasn’t tasted defeat again and has now become the sports best at bantamweight.
The long standing rivalry will finally come to a head at UFC 132 in July.
Also on the card will be a middleweight showdown between former Pride champion Wanderlei Silva and heavy hitter Chris Leben. Both have been asking for this fight, and in July they’ll finally square off.
Carlos Condit looks to put his name into welterweight title contention when he faces undefeated Korean judoka Dong Hyun Kim at UFC 132. Condit is coming off of his first round knockout of Dan Hardy last year, while Kim dominated Nate Diaz and looks to take one step closer towards the top of the division when he fights in July.
German fighter Dennis Siver looks to build on his last win over George Sotiropoulos when he takes on former “Ultimate Fighter” competitor Matt Wiman.
Closing out the main card for UFC 132 is a light heavyweight showdown between former champion and UFC icon Tito Ortiz and former “Ultimate Fighter” winner Ryan Bader. This could be make or break time for Ortiz who was given another shot in the Octagon despite several losses in a row.
The UFC 132 pay-per-view will air from Las Vegas on July 2 starting at 9pm ET/6pm PT. Tickets go on sale Saturday May 7 at 10am PT.
