UFC 130 Play-by-Play: Brian Stann vs. Jorge Santiago

Round 1: Stann controls the center of the Octagon and Santiago backs up as his opponent comes forward.  Stann throws some low kicks that find their mark, but has a gash under his left eye.  Santiago comes forward and throws a high kick, backing Stann up.  The one-two-legkick combo being utilized a lot here by Stann.  Another one-two by Stann lands him a strong shot and it drops Santiago to the crowd’s amusement.  Stann now on top of his opponent and attempting to finish with hammer fists.  After a while, the two stand again just before the round ends.

Round 2: Santiago looking less tentative in the second round and opens up with a combo before clinching with Stann against the cage.  Stann lands a hard low kick that puts Santiago off balance.  Stann’s low kick has kept working this entire fight.  Santiago looking a bit winded at about halfway through the round.  Stann lands a right hand to the body then a left to the chin.  Overhand counter-right lands for Stann and Santiago goes down.  The fight is over after finishing his opponent on the ground.
