The main event of UFC 125: Resolution is a rematch, and a proving ground of sorts, for UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and challenger Gray Maynard.
The bout takes place Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, nearly three years after Maynard first defeated Edgar.
Will Edgar be able to defend his belt for the second time, and get the monkey of the loss off his back? Or will Maynard prove the first time wasn’t a fluke and that he deserves to be champion?
The UFC 125 main card features five fights kicked off by a lightweight showdown between fan favorite Clay Guida and the former No. 1 lightweight fighter in the world, Takanori Gomi.
Fleshing out the card is a co-main event pitting Chris Leben against Brian Stann, a light heavyweight fight between Brandon Vera and Thiago Silva, and Nate Diaz and Dong Hyun Kim in a welterweight tilt.
