For fans that may have missed out on UFC 110 from Australia, they’ll have a chance to watch a free re-broadcast of the show on Spike TV on Saturday, April 17 at 9pm EST.
The show that originally took place on Feb 20 in Sydney, Australia featured a main event pitting rising heavyweight star Cain Velasquez against former UFC and Pride heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.
The re-broadcast of the event will go head to head with the upcoming Strikeforce show airing on CBS the same night, which will see the promotion make it’s return to free TV for the first time since last November’s show that featured Fedor Emelianenko against Brett Rogers.
UFC 110 also featured several other fights on the card including Wanderlei Silva vs. Michael Bisping, and former Ultimate Fighter winner Ryan Bader against Keith Jardine.
Rumors had circled just weeks ago that the UFC planned on countering Strikeforce’s latest effort with a live card of their own, but UFC president Dana White said that the promotion never intended to do a live card the same night. Strikeforce on CBS will now go head to head with a re-broadcast of UFC 110 instead.
