Nevada State Athletic Commission executive director Keith Kizer on Thursday notified MMAWeekly.com of the drug test results for Saturday’s UFC 109 in Las Vegas.

Randy Couture and Mark Coleman, who headlined the event, were both tested for both drugs of abuse and performance enhancing substances. Both returned negative results.

Eleven other fighters were tested and all returned negative results. The other fighters tested included Nate Marquardt, Chael Sonnen, Paulo Thiago, Demian Maia, Matt Serra, Mac Danzig, Phil Davis, Chris Tuchscherer, Joey Beltran, Melvin Guillard, and Rob Emerson.

Couture submitted Coleman in the main event. Sonnen earned a shot at the UFC middleweight title with his unanimous decision victory over Marquardt.

Coleman was later released by the UFC for lack of performance.
